I listen to the
world with words,
to frame some beauty by sound,
to remember one moment
in language at melting point
I live on Bainbridge Island, Washington. My books *God comes to us like a caterpillar: Jesus’ stories retold for kids* and *A Balance of Shadows: Gregg Chadwick’s Paintings* were self-published through Wisdom Press in 2010.
My poetry has appeared in the Floating Bridge Review, World Haiku Review, Be Which, The Bainbridge Islander, Exhibition, Switched-on Gutenberg, The Raven Chronicles, Left Bank, Sojourners, the chapbooks The Jack Straw Writers Program 1999 and Fishtrap Anthology V, and the anthology *Deep Down Things: Poems of the Inland Pacific Northwest*.
I received a 2002 Artist Assistance Award from Jack Straw Productions for the recording of a 2-CD collection of my poetry manuscript *Still through you*. I was selected for the Jack Straw Writers’ Program in 1999.
My prose has been published in The Japan Times, the Palouse Journal, and the Presbyterian Record, among others. I wrote a regular column on "Northwest Books" for the Washington Free Press from 1993-2002, and served as the editor of the Northwest Ethnic News from March 1990 to August 1991.
My poetry-painting collaborations with my brother Gregg Chadwick include Burning Man 2003, "Poets + Painters" at the di Rosa Preserve Gallery in Napa Valley, California in January 2003, and the installation I Am A Man at the Room 608 Gallery in Seattle in July 1993.
