Jane Overstreet has served the President / CEO of Development Associates International (DAI) since 1999. She began volunteering with DAI in 1994 and worked for five years in various capacities as the organization developed before the founder resigned and the board appointed her to that role. She has been the senior leader throughout the intensive season of growth DAI has experienced.
Prior to joining DAI, Jane served as the Director of Legal Services for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for several years while living in the Middle East and Europe. She has been an adjunct professor at Eastern College and has provided legal consulting for numerous other Christian organizations. She has published manuals on various legal topics, articles on leadership issues and this year released her first book, Unleader.
Jane is currently a member of the American Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association, a member of the Leadership Working Group for the Lausanne Committee on World Evangelization, serves as a Trustee of The Henry Parsons Crowell and Susan Coleman Crowell Charitable Trust and the Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust as well as a board member of two other ministries. Additionally, she provides consulting to non-profit leaders on issues of organizational management, charitable giving, fund-raising and leadership.
Jane received a Bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa, College of Law. She has done additional graduate studies in international law at European campus of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and in Global Economic Development at Eastern College. Jane has been married for 31 years to Harold, who also works with DAI. They have three children and three grandchildren.
