Mirka Breen

Mirka M. G. Breen was born and raised in Jerusalem, and now lives in equally sunny California. Both Jerusalem and California have provided a rich backdrop to her many stories.

Mirka met her first wild turkey on a Thanksgiving Day a few years ago, and always regretted not inviting the Hen in. 'THERE'S A TURKEY AT THE DOOR?' a picture book, is Mirka's first published story.

THE VOICE OF THUNDER, A novel for middle grades set in Jerusalem, was published August 2012. The harrowing tale of the first two weeks in June 1967, and two best friends who hoped they live to tell it, is available in print and E-book.
