C. Allyn Pierson

When Carey Pierson was ten years old she decided to become a writer and selected C. Allyn Pierson as her pen name as she thought that using her first initial and middle name sounded very literary. When she was twelve she changed her mind and decided to become a doctor, then spent the next 35 years in school and in the practice of Dermatology. During that time she acquired a husband, two children and several dogs. When her children grew up she found that the impetus to write returned and she self-published her first book, And This Our Life: Chronicles of the Darcy Family in 2008. It was picked up by Sourcebooks and a revised version was released in September 2010 as Mr. Darcy's Little Sister,Pride and Prejudice Continues. In addition to writing she enjoys reading, playing the piano and violin, crocheting her own designs and doing medical mission work.
