Hello..... Since retiring in 2010, I have decided to try the publishing avenue... of course, like most authors, I have found little support for my future "masterpieces". As publishing has moved toward the electronic format, I am encouraged by the possibilities. I have written seven stories with all available in either electronic format or paperback.
Growing up (which is debatable) in Kentucky, I now realize that both "The Trumains" and "The Simple Time" were heavily influenced by my environment. The other stories are diverse, reflecting my religious views "Josiah Franks", the futility of war and the strength of family in "Mamie's Button", the horrors of divorce and the fragility of relationships in "Gray Infinity", and the increasingly delicate and complex political "marriages" of nations from "In the Shadow" and "Three Wives".
Some facts about me, believe it or not are true:
1. I attend an American Baptist church and have truly found my home.
2. I love football and have been a Cleveland Browns fan all my life.
3. I have been a jogger for more than 30 years and am sure I have circumnavigated the globe perhaps twice.
4. I quit smoking before I went to high school.
5. I have an Australian Shepherd .... Peabody, who is in charge.
6. I like small towns and live in one now .....
7. I find writing is something everyone should do. Parts of our own personal stories surface in everything written.
8. I have two very successful and healthy grown children, each paying their fair share of taxes and soon will pay more.
9. I love desserts and eating breakfast out with friends.
10. I have much to learn from others and the marvels of creation.
