lives in Arkansas and is a music teacher. She is an author, illustrator, speaker, entertainer, and song-writer. She is the mother of five children.Carol has been a disc jockey in Hawaii and has recorded in Nashville. She has been a music resource teacher for twenty-five years and now presents her books and songs at schools and libraries across America.

Carol's debut project was a children's book entitled "Military Mommy" published 2010, a true story and charming poem that takes us on the journey of one small boy who experiences separation issues while his mom is in the Army. Recommended for military families who are moving or with soldiers deploying to war. Carol has read this book at military base libraries from Hawaii to Virginia.

Carol's second book is a biography of her father entitled, "Dance Me Home" published in 2012, is a beautiful military love story weaved into American history. Based on the true-life events of her father United States Navy man Robert Jones Junior. The writings take a look back to his personal journey during World War II. As he endures long days fighting in the Philippine jungles, young Robert longs for a girl he met at a USO dance. Could the hope to dance with her be all he needs to get him home? The book carries through his life struggles with being a poor farm, alcoholism, his dramatic conversion into Christianity, and the humorous way he deals with his battle with Alzheimer's. "Dance Me Home" is the story of how one soldier's dream to dance became more powerful than the dance itself.

"The Adventures of Noah" is a children's series as the little military boy, Noah enjoys discovering natural, science, history and animals. 'Twas The Mouse Before Christmas 2013 of a little mouse named Harold, who can not sleep, so he bakes cookies for Santa all night. He keeps himself busy by taking care of everything needed to prepare for Santa's visit, only to be asleep when Santa's arrival. But no worries, Santa leaves a letter to Harold because he is so delighted by the gift of cookies. Your child will see how the tradition of baking cookies for Santa came about. Carol has been reading this story at the annual Arkansas State capital Christmas Lighting event in December since 2014.

The Happy Pumpkin, Patch was also published in 2013. Its a holiday addition for your child's Thanksgiving bedtime story hour. This is the story of Jack, a pilgrim who journeys to America with one pumpkin seed. He must plant it, water it and careful protect it from the elements. Its a lot of hard work, but soon he discovers the fun friendship he has with a great big pumpkin he has named Patch. Jack dreams will come true as he shares the seeds with all his neighbors and Patch will help Jack find a wife and all in time for Thanksgiving Day. Your child will learn the value of hard work, patience and faith. The power of giving. Tribute to the American farmer.

2014 began the creation of The Animals Used by God series by co-authors Carol Dabney and Little Rock attorney Everett O. Martindale. These precious bedtime stories are Bible stories we all know and love but with a slight twist that will surprise you. Each story is from the animal's prospective:

"Prince, the Lion used by God" about Daniel and the Lion's den.

"Wisdom, the Elephant", about having the courage to follow God.

"Racer, the horse"- about Gideon and overcoming fears.

"Pablo, the Donkey"- about bullying.

2015 "Lilly the Lamb" -about the life of king David.

"Roger, the Raven" -developing skills for God.

"Wanda, the Whale" story of Jonah and disobedience.

"Polly, the Piglet"- and the Prodigal son.

2016 "Digger, The Dog" about the Prophet Elisha and Naaman healed from leprosy.

2018 "The Christmas Animals Used by God" about Mary and Joseph journey to Bethlehem.

Many stories are bilingual in English and Spanish. Spanish translation by Little Rock Spanish teacher Cindy Dabney Reyes. Many of the animal parable stories are now also in audiobook form and can be found in the music section on Amazon along with original songs composed by the author Carol and her musical partner Rod Ragsdale. Carol, Cindy and Rod read at libraries, churches, festivals and classrooms.

"Bows and Butterflies" was originally published in 2015. In 2020 the story was discovered, revised and published by Etaliapress.com with a fresh new look and renamed "Butterfly Dreams, A Friendship Takes Flight." It was Highlighted on Arkansas PBS educational television in July 2022 on their "Rise and Shine" Children's summer programming, and can now be viewed on YouTube. Its a story of friendship and encouragement. A Spring to Autumn book about the stages of a Monarch butterfly's life. Meet Carlos the caterpillar who has lots of personality and a big dream to fly. He has a special friendship with a little girl named Lily-Jane and together they watch the changes occur from egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, to mature butterfly. This is a fun book for classrooms who have been raising caterpillars and have a release party. Little Rock Publisher Erin Wood launched the storybook with all new beautiful illustrations by the author and an original song composed and recorded by the author. "Butterflies and Honeybees" pollination song, sold separately.

2015 began a new series with author Rod Ragsdale called "The Adventures of Andrew on the Golf Course" Carol illustrates for all these books: 2015 book one "Mama Duck", book two "Danger", in 2016 book three "The tournament" and 2017 book four "Golfing with Santa."

2014 Music released by composer singer Carol Dabney is an all original Cd album of 11 songs for your Hawaiian luau called "Hawaiian Time."

2017 Carol's "Arkansas Cotton" artwork paintings began to be displayed at the Agricultural Plantation State Museum in Scott Arkansas.

April 2021 Carol artwork on the "Little Rock Skyline" was chosen to become a wall mural for the Little Rock downtown pocket park on Main street between 7th and 8th street.
