Peder Roberts

I was born and raised in Sydney, graduated with a doctorate from Stanford, and now happily settled at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden -- lucky to work in a wonderful city with wonderful colleagues. The reason I became a historian was my love of storytelling, and I try to bring that to my writing. Bringing the past to life really can make us think more critically about why the modern world is they way it is. My interests are happily omnivorous, from Antarctic exploration and the future of the Arctic to Cold War science and the cultural history of lake monsters. I'm married with a little daughter who already seems to share my curiosity about the world!
