Lee King

Lee King was born in Wenatchee, Washington, but grew up in Seattle. She wrote her first story at age 12, and later produced essays that earned A's from high school English teachers. She dabbled in writing during her early married and child raising years, then went back to school at age forty, minored in English, and produced a variety of work published in print and on the Internet.

Lee's first novel, "After the Rain," and its’ sequels, "After the Vows" and "After the Love" are all available on Amazon.com. Inspired by two women she knew, "Rain" came to life when she bought her first computer. The manuscript underwent a long series of computers―and software―and rewrites before publication.

Lee has also published "Misty Moments,"an essay memoir, and, recently, "Cucumbers and Melons." a narrative about a nursing home stay. A new novel, "Jenna's Trust" is in an editing stage.

Since retiring from a lengthy office career, Lee now lives in Bonney Lake, Washington, with her her Siamese cat, Jasmine.
