Rick Nau

Rick Nau is an LA-based novelist and the creator of the Tales of Hope series, four Christ-centered adventure novels for families and young readers, with a fifth novel on the way. Multiple reviewers have compared the series to C. S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia.

Rick studied writing at UCLA under Hollywood screenwriter Leonardo Bercovici, who co-wrote The Bishop’s Wife, and later honed his craft at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference. His first publication, “Daph,” a story set during the polio epidemics of the 1950s, was awarded Best Short Story of the Year by Writer’s Digest.

Rick caught the storyteller bug from his father, whose stories of the Good Whale John helped inspire Rick’s own love of storytelling. Rick lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Bettina.
