Laurence Lyons

Laurence Lyons received his A.B. from Harvard University and an M.S and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University. His avocation is Military History, with a particular interest in how technology influenced the conduct of World Wars I and II. He has coauthored two books: “Missed Signals on the Western Front – How the Slow adoption of Wireless Restricted British Strategy and Operations in World War I” and a biography "George Owen Squier, U.S. Army Major General, Inventor, Aviation Pioneer, Founder of Muzak". He has writen numerous articles in professional journals on wireless in WWI. He has also written extensively on Spanish Flu in WWI and on the development and use of penicillin in WWII.
