"Understanding History is a key to understanding the present and extrapolating the future" - Alan Sewell.

I’ve pursued careers in technology, science, economics, history, and international business, striving to bring clarity to these subjects, by viewing their present states of development in context with their historical origins. Although every day is a new day, the new days are layered on top of repeating cycles of history as old as Mankind.

Regarding American history, I've been commended for "interpreting the American experience" into six critical watershed periods when political and economic crises were resolved to advance us into the next era of our history:

Part I. Fragmentation --- Federalism --- Union (1783-1815)

Part II. Secession --- War --- Nationalism (1858-1867)

Part III. Wealth --- Depression --- Empire (1890-1900)

Part IV. Wealth --- Depression --- Liberalism (1929-1934).

Part V. Chaos --- Humiliation --- Conservatism (1968-1980).

Now comes another era of political realignment in 2026, the 250th year of our Declaration of Independence, that some call "The Fourth Turning:"

Part VI: The Great Recession to the Great Restoration as the current contest between the Globalist Progressive Left and the Populist Right to define the direction of our politics as we move deeper into the 21st Century.

I want readers to experience these turning points as living history, the way people who lived through them did before they knew the outcomes. I’ve also been commended on writing reviews of books on science and the history of science.

I steek to present relevant topics of history, science, and economics to popular audiences as easily comprehended books and articles, without omitting the core tenets and controversies of the subjects.
