Bill Burke

I have written about the Middle East region several times since returning to the States after residing in Tehran, Iran with my wife during 1978.

My masters thesis was essentially a cultural comparison of the work ethics of American expatriates and Middle Eastern host country business colleagues.

My first book, "Adventures in the Middle East, Near East, and North Africa," describes our experiences in Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and Morocco. In the sequel, "Odyssey from Iran," I tell about our forty-day, 23,000-mile trek back to the United States during the pending revolution in Iran.

In "My Army Days: Hup, Toop, Threep, Fourp!" I describe my experiences as an enlisted man while serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during and after the Korean War era.

My latest book, "The Persian Caper," is my first spy novel about the vast, intriguing Middle East region. My second spy novel, "The Palestinian Caper," is a work in progress and I hope to have it released in 2013.
