John R. Henry

John Henry is America's dedicated changeover and SMED specialist. A former Navy machinist mate, he spent 22 years in packaging machinery sales before turning to changeover consulting full-time. In 2013, Productivity Press — publisher of Shigeo Shingo's original SMED work — chose him to write the follow-up, Achieving Lean Changeover. Author of six books used in university courses nationwide and 200+ published articles, John writes from decades of hands-on plant-floor experience, not theory.
