Jeffrey B. Thompson was born and raised in Pontiac, Illinois, a small farming community. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1969. Following graduation he was assigned to Fort Bliss, Texas in the West Texas town of El Paso.
After two years service in the Air Defense Artillery Branch of the Army, he attended the University of Texas Law School (Austin, Texas) where he graduated with honors in 1974. Since that time he has practiced law in the Army (Fort Bliss), and then in private practice in El Paso, Austin, Ruidoso (New Mexico) and Granbury, Texas. He closed his law office in 2013 to pursue ministerial endeavors and moved to Leander, Texas (just outside of Austin).
Jeff always had a rich spiritual life which led him to become ordained to public ministry in the Gospel Ministry of Jesus Christ in 1986. He served as a board member and associate pastor at the House of Cornelius, a Christian Home for people who need Jesus which operated in Fabens, Texas (just outside El Paso). His preaching/teaching experience at the House of Cornelius deepened his dependence upon God for inspiration and guidance.
In 2008, Jeff and Nancy experienced an explosion of miracles, signs and wonders surrounding their every day life. As they went about their business, they took many, many opportunities to offer prayer to those they encountered in offices, restaurants and anywhere they might find themselves. They also began teaching and studying with a small group of people in their home in Granbury, Texas, where they experienced numerous miraculous interventions by God in the everyday life of ordinary people.
Jeff's first book, "Because He Said So", is the product of years of study and practice in a healing ministry with his wife, Nancy. They believe in a God who is intimately involved in the every-day life of His people and is always willing to deliver His compassion by physical healing, delivery from torment and salvation for the spirit.
Jeff and Nancy now lead classes at churches throughout central Texas where they teach the ideas and principals described in "Because He Said So." The classes have demonstrated that anyone who has faith in Jesus will do those things He did, and greater things, because Jesus has gone to His Father.
You Jeff's most recent book, "Aha! Moments," was written in response to the often bizarre teachings about the Holy Spirit he and Nancy have encountered in teaching to members of many denominations and backgrounds. This book deals with the "everyday" essentials of life with the Holy Spirit.
