Robert D. Rodman

I was born one mornin' when the sun didn't shine

I picked up a pencil and a pad that was mine

I wrote 16 pages of indelible prose

And my publisher said, "well bless my toes."

Now if ya see me talkin' better sit up straight

Sleepin' through my lectures is somethin' I hate

I been teachin' at the college since seventy-eight

'cause I be a professor at N.C. State

Now I wrote you a tale, 'Where Evil Lurks'

It's a mystery story 'bout shadowy jerks

In Istanbul Dagny gets the works

And barely escapes from ferocious Turks

And my very first fable will fluster you

It's got murders and a goldmine and romance, too

The title breaks my meter: 'The Evil that Men Do'

From Cleo's lover, do you wonder Who?
