Angela Dugi

Angela (Angie) Dugi is married with three children and lives with her husband in Texas. Her profession was in the dental field, but after giving birth to her second child, she was stricken with chronic fatigue and strange symptoms that eventually developed into Lupus (SLE). After over a decade of ever increasing illness and what she calls "The Medical Maze", she was moved to write and share her story. In What I Learned Lying Down, Angie writes a vibrant story, opening her personal journals and her heart to validate and encourage those who suffer. She uses her own insight and her faith in God to uplift the suffering ones and their family and friends as she relates how to cope and thrive spiritually in the face of adversity. Although physically unable to travel extensively, Angie previously ministered to people around the globe as an online missionary with Global Media Outreach.

Her second book, GodSmiles, is a collection of heart-warming short stories and devotions which seek to find God and the principles of the Christian faith in everyday life.

Most recently, in late 2020, she released Deep Calls To Deep, a raw and transparent account of her ongoing battles with depression, which often accompanies chronic illness. Like her first book, she reaches out to those suffering and those who love and support them. Angie open our eyes to the realities of depression, how she survives it, and how to be a friend and support to those who fight this battle.
