Elisabeth Davis

Elisabeth Davis is a retired college English professor who began to dabble in watercolors while still teaching. Her gentle and hopeful books combine her love of children, storytelling, painting, and animals. The true story of her son and daughter-in-law's shelter dog Harley inspired her to create a children's book about this wonderful agility champion.

Elisabeth donates all her author proceeds to animal rescue charities. She is also a watercolor pet portrait artist and was named Event Artist for both 2015 and 2016's Bark in the Park, Charlotte, NC.

Davis' book Harley, The Throwaway Puppy, has been featured in the AKC Canine Partners newsletter, the Charlotte (NC) Observer, the LifewithDogs.tv, GoodReads, and in local news. She regularly visits elementary school and children's groups to read her books and promote animal rescue.

Davis' newest book is Mist of Arran, the true story of a Scottish border collie.
