R. K. Landa

For decades R. K. Landa has composed word pictures to capture simmering streams of consciousness that co-exist with out-of-the-ordinary emotional states. Her words crystallize the mournful sadness too well familiar to divorced mothers -- the gloom of trust dissolved and the despondency of lost innocence. Equally impassioned are opposite musings – lyrical words of lovers that effervesce with sunshine and high spirits. Unconventionally --with fury and love-- R. K. Landa intermittently tracked how her life changed along with changing times for women. In so doing, she generated a memoir that goes right to the heart. A housewife and mother of three, who divorced shortly after earning a graduate degree, R. K. Landa taught school, worked in a major corporation, and started up a business that published award-winning educational software. Instinctively attuned to emotions, she gives visibility to her life experience in her remarkable poetry, articles, and books. Currently she teaches at a community college
