Dixie Land

Dixie Land is my maiden name which I find the perfect choice for a Southern, Romantic Suspense author. I was born and raised in Iowa. After earning my R.N., I married my high school sweetheart and moved to New Hampshire where he was attending Dartmouth College. My first job was in the college Infirmary. Graduate school took us and our infant son to New Jersey, military service followed and we moved to North Carolina. After spending five years in Georgia we returned to North Carolina, which we've called home for more than thirty years.

In the mid 90's I decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of writing a novel. Since my first publication in 2002, I've completed and published eleven romantic suspense novels. My novels have earned praise from fans as well as favorable reviews from Our State Magazine and Writers Digest. I enjoy attending writing conferences, speaking engagements for book clubs and library groups, and have been interviewed on TV several times. In the last years, I've mentored my youngest grandson who began writing short stories at the age of five. When he was eight had his first chapter fantasy adventure book published. Since he has completed the Portals Trilogy, which have been published and appear on Amazon in paperback as well as on Kindle.
