I live in the Great State of Maine, U.S.A., on the coast, with my husband and my familiar, an imperious Maine Coon cat. I majored in library science in college and my hobbies include, as well as extensive reading in both fiction and non-fiction, crewel embroidery, classical music, gardening and writing poetry about cats.

My adult fantasy novels will take you all over the world.

Join the members of the Stillfield/Delmar family and others as each generation does battle with Sorcerers, Witches, Dragons, Wizards and all sorts of evil beings that seem determined to conquer their world and make it an evil one. In addition to using their magic, they enlist the aid of other Wizards, Witches, familiars, dragons and many creatures that live in the woods, the water and the sky to bring balance back to their world.

Let me share some of my early experiences at writing:

"I actually wrote my first book before I was even able to read and write. I was about 4 years old and I scribbled 'words' on several pieces of paper and then 'read' them to my younger sister as 'my book'.

My first novel was completed when I was 13. It was called, Adventure on a Planetoid. Over the years the manuscript disappeared. I wish it had not as it would be fun to reread that early effort. Even then, at a time when science fiction and fantasy were considered 'boy's books', they were my favorite reading.

I have written on and off all my life, both fiction and poetry. There have been sometimes lengthy dry spells when I wrote nothing, but I now have a considerably thick file of completed and incomplete MS.

I began the current Wizards' World books in 2006 when I was forcibly retired by ill health at a comparatively young age. I had no intention of ever publishing any of my work as I wrote only for my own pleasure and to share with friends, but a very dear friend, herself a writer, urged me to consider publication and now I am looking at the recent release of my sixth fantasy novel.

Writing these novels has been a truly enjoyable experience and my hope is that people will enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. I hope to share my vision of my world through my books and this website."
