Paul T. Barham

Paul T. Barham writes Christian nonfiction and fiction with one goal in mind: helping readers see and know God more clearly, at every age and every stage of the journey.

Paul writes about love because he has needed it to survive. His own story includes marriage separation, addiction and recovery, and years spent rebuilding what estrangement had broken — the kind of wreckage that teaches you which parts of love actually hold. He is a bi-vocational lay evangelist who preaches about once a month at a small chapel in North Carolina, and a software engineering executive with a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science. Raised Southern Baptist, he now describes himself simply as a non-denominational, Bible-centered Christian. Paul believes the mark of a Christian isn’t correct doctrine alone — it’s love that survives contact with a broken life.

His books include Salvation 101: A Guide to Faith, the Gospel, and Following Jesus; Moving On: The Journey Beyond Shame to Live in Righteousness; For the Love of God: By This All People Will Know That You Are My Disciples, with its 365-day Daily Devotional; and Eternal: Why Love Is Greater Than Faith and Hope. Salvation 101, Moving On and For the Love of God each have a companion Small Group Study Guide.

For children ages 3–7, he writes the Tammy Lamb series of rhyming Christian picture books: Tammy Lamb Looks for God, Tammy Lamb Learns to Pray and Tammy Lamb Goes to Church.

Spanish editions are available: Salvación 101, Seguir Adelante, Por el Amor de Dios and Eterno.

Paul lives in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Chapter-by-chapter guides to his books are at Salvation101.
