Patricia C Byron

When Patricia C Byron was asked to be the executor of her friend’s Will, she had to think quickly. Her friend was terminally ill and, having already assisted in the handling of both her father’s estate and a friend’s recent death, Patricia knew the enormity of the task she was being asked to take on. She also knew that she needed vital answers to difficult questions. Just a few months before her friend sadly passed away, Patricia wrote Last Orders to assist them both. But when her mother died suddenly just one year later, Patricia learned even more about the challenges and the complications that can arise.

Last Orders went on to be an Amazon bestseller and has now been superseded by The Second Edition, a Law Society Top Ten book of 2019, which addresses not just the traditional issues associated with death but also encourages us to consider the wider effects of lifestyle changes we have adopted in recent years.

Patricia has written for, amongst others, the Manchester Evening News, Mature Times, STEP Journal, Berkshire Life and presented talks to thousands of members of the general public on the importance of leaving clear, unambiguous instructions about our final wishes. She runs a successful publishing house, Stellar Books, and lives in Bowdon, Cheshire.
