Michael D. Brubaker

Michael D. Brubaker is an Assistant Professor and Academic Coordinator of the Substance Abuse Counseling Program in the School of Human Services in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati. He received his Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida, his M.S. in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University, his M.Div. from Emory University, and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a licensed chemical dependency counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, he has served many populations in the roles of clinician, administrator, researcher, and professor throughout his career. His current research addresses the clinical and social barriers to substance abuse and mental health services for various underserved populations.
