Sandra Thompson Davis was born Sandra Thompson in 1943. Her father went to WWII shortly after she was born. She didn't have a good relationship with him when he returned from the war because she was afraid of him. But she lived close to relatives in the city of Athens, TN, USA. So she knew plenty of people. And Sandra married her high school sweetheart in 1963.
Sandra had four spiritual experiences in the years of her childhood culminating in her salvation time when she was eleven years old. Her family had moved to Knoxville, TN when she was in the second grade, so she had to make new friends. But she was a loner, not really caring about being around people. She wrote about these four experiences in her book, The Simplicity of God's Plan, which is now published and in ebook form. These experiences made Sandra very aware of the care that the Father, God of all creation had for her, and she developed a close, personal relationship with Him.
Sandra loved school and always made good grades. She tied for first place in her high school graduating class and graduated from college with a Magna Cum Laude degree in Elementary Education. She taught in an elementary school until 1990 when illness forced her to retire early.
Illness has been the bane of Sandra's life. But in the year of 2010, she was given a book to write by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. After finishing the book in March of that year, she didn't know what to do with it because she had no money with which to publish it. After a few weeks, she decided to put the book on the internet in a blog. It stayed there for a number of weeks, and those who read it gave her great reviews. Finally, her husband gave her enough money to have a self-publishing company to put the book into print.
Now the book, The Simplicity of God's Plan is in paperback and ebook form. It can be ordered from the Westbow Publishing Company, or it may be obtained at bookstores by order. She didn't have money for an editor, so she edited it herself.
Sandra will be 68 years old this June, 2011. But she has two more book to get ready for publication. We will have to wait and see how these will be published since regular publishing companies will not take new authors. Pray that her first book will sell a lot so she can get the attention of a good publisher.
