Maureen Harris

Maureen Harris writes fun, magical children’s fiction and currently lives in Southern Arizona.

Ever since childhood Maureen has been fascinated with expression through various methods of creative arts. From her early days of working on the school newspaper to hanging out at her step-dad’s local radio station; to working on the TV show Petrocelli, to writing and producing a 10 year, 16 page monthly newsletter for racing legend Jeff Gordon ~ her canvas is painted through creative arts.

Maureen’s mom was an artist and encouraged her to chase her dreams, one of which was writing a children’s series. The inspiration for the Moonlight and Molly® series came after she adopted a wild Mustang and named her Moonlight.

Since the debut of the award winning children’s series, she has published 7 books, a coloring book and a theme song. Additional books and projects are being planned for the near future.

She is also the author of Jeff Gordon: On A Chance, a book about her experience with NASCAR racing legend Jeff Gordon.
