Jackson Drumgoole was born in Augusta, GA during the height of the civil rights movement and the Vietnam War. It was a very rich time in a working class African American community when fathers fought for their families. Quite possibly it was this observation that drives Jackson to champion causes that help fathers live fully engaged and fully alive in the lives of their children. He is a 20 plus year Army officer, lecturer, husband and father of five. In 2013, Jackson was awarded the All Star Dad of the year by the National Father's Day Council along side former President Clinton for his work with dads while deployed to Iraq. He enjoys writing and speaking on the leadership role of the father as well as reconciling distant Dads with their children.
