Anthony Ashpitel

Anthony Ashpitel has been making things up and writing them down since 1968, completing his first full-length novel, A Route for Arms, in 1970. Although he has written several novels, screenplays and treatments since then, his careers in the Royal Navy, computing, business, general life - together with an inbuilt inertia and apathy and the susceptibility to the dictates of his wife, Anne - have hitherto conspired to prevent him applying himself fully to the after-writing activities necessary to bring these works to publication, but couldn’t prevent him writing (exceptionally for him) this very long and complex sentence. Well, that’s his excuse and he’s sticking to it. Belatedly, he is committing the requisite time and effort to revisiting these thingies and revising some of them for publication. Among them are, Breaking Waves – Rebuilding Janey Holland (novella, suspense, intrigue, touch of romance), The McKinnon Legacy (thriller), The Drum (thriller), The Golden Highway (thriller), The Amateur Weatherman (who-dun-it), Sealed Fate (tragedy). Other wotsits are still in development, including, ‘Angels’ (surreal - working title), ‘Exotic Locations’ (comedy - stage play), and ‘To Be a Wiser Man’ (non-fiction).
