S. M. Ballard

Susan M. Ballard lives with her husband, Brian, on Blue Moon Ranch in historic Pearce, Cochise Country, Arizona. She is a member of The Society of Southwestern Authors, The Western Writers of America, The Old Pearce Preservation Association, the Cochise County Historical Society and the Sulphur Springs Valley Historical Society. Her work, both fiction and non-fiction, has appeared in Chronicle of the Old West, the Cochise County Historical Journal, Ghost Town Trail News, Out West, Roundup, Voice in the Desert, War Journal, the Western Way and Wild West. She is a regular contributor to The Tombstone Times.

Borrowed Time, Holliday in Tombstone and Death Takes a Holliday, Susan's "Doc" Holliday trilogy, are published by Treble Heart Books.

Her western romance, Kate, is published by Goose Flats Publishing in Tombstone.

Susan's latest historical fiction novel aimed at young adult readers is titled The Raider. It is available as an ebook on Kindle, Barnes and Noble's Nook, Diesel and numerous other ebook outlets, and is now out as a trade paperback from Goose Flats Publishing.

Also brand new is Susan's first foray into the world of mystery novels. Murder in Pearce takes place in Pearce, Cochise County, Arizona Territory in 1905 and mixes the rich history of the area with a mystery steeped in intrigue. Murder in Pearce is available as an ebook on Kindle, Nook, Diesel and numerous other ebook outlets as well as a trade paperback from Goose Flats Publishing and from Susan's own website at www.smballard.com.
