C. K. Crigger

C.K. Crigger lives with a wild Pomsky (Arctic Spitz) pup, and a reclusive Persian cat. Born and raised in North Idaho on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation, she is a long-time member of Western Writers of America, and often reviews western genre books for WWA’s Roundup magazine.

Ms. Crigger is a three-time Spur Award winner, in 2019 for The Woman Who Built a Bridge, in 2020 for The Yeggman's Apprentice, and The Woman Who Went for Broke in 2025. She is a three time Spur Award finalist, as well. Yester's Ride is a 2019 Western Fictioneers Peacemaker Award Finalist. The Speaker of Clovis Creek received the Silver in the 2024 Will Roger Medallion Awards. A woman who knows how to keep busy, her new trilogy is in process, with Painter's Bay: Buried Bones, and Painter's Bay: Under Siege now released. Last Laugh is in the queue.
