Sally Yantis-Grube is a native to the Seattle area, and currently works for the school district where Heidi attends school. Sally has three wonderful children (Donny, Michelle and Heidi), as well as an amazing daughter-in-law (Michelle Marie), and a 5 year old grandson, Hunter.
After an unsuccessful marriage to the father of all of her children, she became a single mom for 5 years, until she fell in love with her current husband, Tim, in 2005. Tim brought two adopted children to the family (Jeff & Emily), and is the most amazing father (Papa) to Heidi.
Sally completed her degree in psychology at the University of Washington (which she began in 1983) in 2007, and also holds a professional certification in grief counseling.
Sally is very active in the developmental disability community, providing advocacy, fund-raising, and informational resources to families and agencies. She now works for the Arc of Snohomish County as an independent living coordinator - a job that reflects her passion to provide Heidi, as well as all people with special needs, with the richest experiences throughout their lives. She enjoys many hobbies (when Heidi lets her), such as writing, card making, scrapbooking, making candles & soap, cooking and canning. She lives in Lynnwood, WA with Tim and Heidi, which is near to all of their adult children.
