Robert Hart

Born in London, raised in Tanzania and Malawi, schooled in Swaziland, with college studies in Ireland and London, I have spent half a century as a veterinarian, in academia and clinical practice, in the U.K and U.S.A.

Married for 34 years to fellow writer, Veronica Helen Hart, I gained valuable insight into character by helping her to run a B&B, save an airport diner, and act in her theater company for twelve years.

I have three books published, one ready to go and two as manuscripts.

Hart's Original Petpourri, a miscellany of fact, fancy, trivia and whimsy about pets, vets and owners is available as a Kindle e-book. This was an Indie Book Finalist in 2011 (top four).

Oliver's Rubaiyat, a Cat Questions Life, is available from Amazon in print and kindle format. Written in 64 quatrains in the style of Omar Khayyam, a species other than our own ponders life's deep questions.

Cage Liners is a lighthearted book of forty-four stories about pets, vets, technicians, nurses, owners and other animals as they meet, interact and sometimes clash over the treatment of pets. This won second place in the 2012 Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Awards for autobiography/memoir.

A YA novel "The Horse with Bespoke Shoes," yet to be published, won the International Chapbook Competition for Young Adult book in 2012.
