Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Eric Jones, author of The Door to Canellin, book 1 of the Gatehouse series. To start off, allow me to share with you my "about the author" blurb from my print version, which is accurate and informative, but slightly tongue-in-cheek at the end.
"Eric Jones is a single father living in southern Indiana. He has always been interested in creative writing, but did not complete his first full length novel until his early thirties. Eric is a computer technician, and an avid reader of fantasy, sci fi, and horror novels, comic books, and the occasional pulp story. He is a movie buff, a fan of Doctor Who, and a trivia whiz on all things Superman. Totally aside from his writing aspirations, he also has a pretty decent singing voice."
I've always felt that most "about the author" sections were, in general, kind of dry and boring. While I'm impressed with the awards my favorite writers might have won, or their qualifications for writing, they really don't tell you much about the people behind the books. In this age of modern technology, we have much better avenues for finding out more about the writers we love. If you would like more information about me, and the books I write, why I write them, and the way I write them, you can find much more interesting information on my blog!
