Michael Wood

Michael Wood has been developing, practicing and teaching Miksang Contemplative Photography for the past 32 years in North America and Europe and has been a major influence in the contemplative photography movement in modern photography. After a successful career as a professional photographer in Canada, Michael began to experience the arising of fresh perceptions based on his meditation practice and study of Chögyam Trungpa's Dharma Art Teachings. This led to the development of the Miksang Training curriculum of study.

Michael is the co-author of 'The Practice of Contemplative Photography - Seeing the World with Fresh Eyes. In 2015 he authored Graceful Appearance: Passion, Perception, Expression and has just released Opening the Good Eye: A Path to True Seeing, both published by Miksang Publications.

Michael is the Senior Consultant and Curriculum Advisor for the Miksang Institute for Contemplative Photography in Boulder, Colorado.
