Hi potential reader!
I’m a happy mom, grandma, and great grandma who decided to take writing seriously in 2000, a few weeks after I retired as professor emerita from teaching nursing at Trinity Christian College. Caring Lessons came out of that writing effort in 2010, followed by Marv Taking Charge in 2023.
Working nearly forty years, I held positions in eight places, ranging from hospitals to steel mills, and taught in four schools of nursing. I earned a diploma in nursing from Blodgett Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, B.H.S. in Nursing Practice from Governors State University, and M.S. in Psychiatric Nursing/Ph.D. in Nursing Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since retirement I’ve completed the four-year University of Chicago Basic Program of Liberal Education for Adults, along with lots of writing classes. I love taking classes!
I write a blog from the perspective of a retired nurse at loisroelofs.com
