Scott Minar is Professor Emeritus of English at Ohio University. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, has lived and taught at Memorial University (St. John's, Newfoundland); Antioch College (Yellow Springs); Bowling Green State University (Ohio); and Elmira College (upstate New York). He is married to Roberta Milliken, a noted medievalist and author of Ambiguous Locks: An Iconology of Hair in the Middle Ages. He remains an active poet, musician, critic, and teacher. His poems and essays have appeared in The Paris Review, Poetry International, Crazyhorse, Ninth Letter, The Laurel Review, Kentucky Review, The Georgia Review, West Branch, and other journals in the US and Canada.
