Sharon Longo

I have been writing since I was a child, beginning with poetry, and I won several awards in that genre. After that, I majored in English and taught Language Arts for over 15 years. I have had my work published in numerous magazines and newspapers, and I wrote My Friend Daniel Doesn't Talk to help children with selective mutism, and their families, to see someone like themselves in a book. They can share the story with classmates, friends, family, and others to help them understand their daily struggle. I love receiving feedback from parents or grandparents who say the book has helped their child in some way.
