Dr. B.J. Mitchell lived most of her life in the Missouri Ozarks before moving to Southern California. She has written seven books in addition to her doctoral dissertation. A description of her titles can be viewed on the website www.viewpointpress.com, along with photos of her paintings. She says that painting in oils is a great way to relax when writers block kills her creative juices. Her bio is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Art.
She also writes under the pen name of P.J. Pokeberry. Pokeberry is a 'possum who hangs by her tail from tree limbs and peers into the windows of interesting humans who have tales to tell. One might say, "from tails to tales." Her more serious works include two library management books, her dissertation, her autobiography, and her most recent work, Footprints of the Soul, a novel.
