Timothy E. Wilkerson

Tim retired from the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot. He is a veteran of the Vietnam Police Action (War). After active duty, he joined the Ohio Army National Guard and continued to serve in the reserves until his retirement, twenty-three years later, from the Illinois Army National Guard.

During his twenty-seven years of service to his country, he flew as a pilot in the unit, an instructor pilot, and Maintenance Test Pilot. He flew in support of State missions, as well as continued his training as a pilot and officer. He also attended the Army Flight Safety School.

He is an entrepreneur with his first venture running a sewing machine repair business. He has tried to start other business and finally started a successful computer business, which he is still doing today.

He worked at a State University in one of the departments that took care of the computers. He retired from it a few years ago.

Tim served his community in a series of areas and even ventured into politics. He quickly learned that he was not flexible enough to live in the world of false promises.

Tim began his adventure of becoming an author in 1990. In the beginning, he submitted articles to local newspapers, created several in-depth websites and drafted materials for computer classes, which he taught.

He started to write his first book in 1998 and in 2010 submitted, Yesterday from the Future, to Publish America for publication, after he divided it into two books because of the size. The Yesterday Series second book, Yesterday is now the Present was self-published through Createspace, a division of Amazon.com at the same time.

Through trial and error, he was able to re-edit both books and learned valuable lessons on being patient and proper editing. He wrote the third book of the Yesterday Series, Yesterday is Gone - Now is the Time, and published it a year later.

At the request and support of his wife and children, he collected all of his notes, logs, letters, and pictures, while in the service, and wrote an autobiography of his military years. Clear Left! Clear Right! is based on the years he served, from Basic Training to retirement. He surrounded it with historical events, as he learned and experienced them.

His love of writing and his desire show how a crisis could be successfully overcame, motivated him to pen Asteroid Crisis. It is a story of day to day, week to week actions of the events as they unfolded from newspapers, radio and television news reports. From the beginning of the crisis and until he ended the book, it is full of diverse thoughts and actions of the people in a city, county state and the United States. He knew that survival was a daily activity and learning how to deal with a major crisis is the beginning of surviving that problem

Tim hopes you enjoy his books as much as he enjoyed writing them.
