Syed R. Rizvi

Since 2002, Mr. Rizvi has been working as a Research Scientist at Analytical Services & Materials, Inc., Hampton, VA, where he is developing advanced technologies, primarily for NASA Langley Research Center. Previously, Mr. Rizvi has served on the faculty of three Engineering Universities in India for nearly four years. He has published several book chapters, articles in archival journals and conference proceedings. Mr. Rizvi is the author of the book Microcontroller Programming: An Introduction, ISBN 978-1439850770, published by CRC Press,and maintains the book's support website, Microcontroller Guide (www.microcontrollerguide.com), which contains hands-on tutorials, discussions, and interesting microcontroller-based applied and research projects for both students and hobbyists.

Mr. Rizvi received his M.S. in Computer Science from Old Dominion University (USA) and B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He has served on the editorial board and review committees of several journals and books. Recently (March 2011), Mr. Rizvi served as a lead guest editor for the Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks special issue of the International Journal of Vehicular Technology, Hindawi Publishing Corporation. His research interests are related to embedded systems, vehicular ad-hoc networks, wireless networks, QoS provisioning, wireless multimedia, and web applications.
