Simon Swift

Simon Swift is a writer of hardboiled mystery fiction. His debut novel, BLACK SHADOWS, published by Wild Wolf Publishing in 2011, is a bestseller on amazon kindle and a former Authonomy Gold Star Winner. He has been compared to genre masters, Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett.

THE CASABLANCA CASE is his second novel in the Errol Black Trilogy and was published to critical acclaim in May 2012. The third and final mystery, provisionally entitled THE GOLD GATE GOODBYE will follow shortly.

Simon has been writing for as long as he can remember...

A voracious reader from an early age, he fell in love with the adventures of hardboiled detectives Sam Spade and Mike Hammer. His own hero, Errol Black now fills the same pages as these fictional detectives.

As well as writing, Simon passes the time trying to improve the lives of young children as an Assistant Headteacher at a primary school, playing football with his two young children and being a dedicated husband to his lovely wife. He has previously imported Oriental rugs, delivered pizzas, farmed pumpkins in rural Queensland and served in the Royal Artillery.

As well as his family, his amazing job and writing, Simon loves cricket and very rare, rib-eye steak.
