Vince Melocchi

Vince Melocchi is originally from Western Pennsylvania. While attending Penn State University, and short on credits, he took the only class still open, "Principles of Playwriting." Having never written a play before, he panicked upon learning he had to write a one act play in 10 weeks. So called his father for advice, "Write what you know, son. You don't know about King Henry the 5th, do you? Write what you know."

His work has been seen in theaters from New York to Chicago to Los Angeles.

In 2008, Award winning director Guillermo Cienfuegos directed his award nominated full length play, LIONS had it's world premiere at Pacific Resident Theatre in Venice, California. LIONS was soon published by Samuel French Publishers.

He followed up LIONS with his enormously popular play JULIA. JULIA (also directed by Cienfuegos), had it's world premiere at the Pacific Resident Theatre. After a very successful, sold-out run, JULIA moved to Off Broadway's 59e59 theatre. JULIA was then published by Steele Spring Stage Rights Theatrical Publishers. Other works include WELCOME TO SANTA, NICE THINGS, BURIED IN THE NIGHT and his latest, THE PACT.
