Sieglinde McGee

Dr Sieglinde McGee started writing on horse racing in 1983, began keeping databases on racing and pedigrees the following year, and got her first job in the racing media five years after that. She has been widely published on horse racing and the pedigrees of thoroughbreds over the past 30+ years, including a long-running pedigree analysis column in a leading trade publication.

Sieglinde also spent many years in academia and was conferred with a BA (Mod) and a doctorate from Trinity College Dublin in 2000 and 2005 respectively. She is also a graduate of Dublin City University and the world-famous Thoroughbred Breeding course at the Irish National Stud, and she taught in Trinity College Dublin and for Oscail (now DCU Connected) for several years.
