Mazhar Khan

Mazhar Khan was born in India. Immigrated to Pakistan and came to the United States as a Teaching Assistant under the Fulbright program. After completing his PhD, he taught chemistry at college level. He retired to settle in Oracle, AZ.

Writing became his passion to occupy him in his retirement. He has written few stories published in the local newspaper and posted them on his website, www.mazharswriting.com.

Clashes between illusionary expectations vs. stark realities are the setting of his first book, 'A Journey Forward' a novel. His experiences at the time of pre-partition India, his life in Pakistan and adjusting to the western society in the U.S gave him experiences he shares in his book. The experiences are dramatized but real. Certain events described in the book are not real but could have been.
