Adam A. J. DeVille

Dr. Adam DeVille is the author of "Everything Hidden Shall Be Revealed: Ridding the Church of Abuses of Sex and Power" (Angelico Press, 2019), which bears a score of endorsements from bishops, scholars, and theologians of all traditions around the world.

Previously he authored "Orthodoxy and the Roman Papacy," released in March 2011 by the University of Notre Dame Press. Additionally he is the author of over 100 articles and reviews in dozens of journals around the world. He has forthcoming volumes on married Catholic priests, and the aftermath of the Ps-Sobor of Lviv of 1946. He teaches a range of theology courses, including those on iconography and the encounter between Eastern Christian and Muslim communities from the 7th century to today. He also maintains a blog entitled "Eastern Christian Books."

DeVille's teaching, writing, and editorial work focus on the Christian East (both Byzantine and non-Byzantine, Catholic and Orthodox), with an especial focus on issues of ecclesiology and church reform, including the papacy. He is editor-in-chief of the international trilingual "Logos: A Journal of Eastern Christian Studies," which publishes leading peer-reviewed scholarship from across the globe.
