Lisa M. Hopper, is the founder and CEO of World Care International Humanitarian Aid Organization in Tucson Arizona, author, International consultant and advisor, Adjunct lecturer at University of Arizona and Motivational Speaker. Born in south Chicago and veteran of U.S. Armed Forces, Lisa Hopper received her B.S. in Radiology Administration/Physics from George Washington University, D.C. After spending seventeen years in the medical industry she saw that a change was necessary in this system and decided to develop a new concept for a humanitarian organization. In 1995 Lisa began collecting supplies in her garage, believing that it was logical to recycle any viable resource and re-distribute it to those in need. This would create better opportunities for disadvantaged people and provide a needed environmental service—making use of supplies that, if not donated, would otherwise go to a landfill. Today World Care has provided aid to millions of people in crisis locally and around the world and is credited as the first civilian emergency relief in the United States. Lisa Hopper is the receipt of numerous national and international awards including Women Business Leader of the Year, NAWBO 2010, Athena Finalist 2010, The Global Visionary Award, The Presidents ‘National Points of Light Award, Mexico Federal Congress International Humanitarian Award.
