Mike Chambers

Mike Chambers is an experienced hands-on continuous improvement practitioner and a long-time member of the Microsoft Advisory Board. He is a Senior (Managing) Principal with Abidian, a global manufacturing consulting firm. With over 35 years of practical experience, Mike specializes in helping organizations achieve their highest potential by improving their culture while eliminating inefficiencies and ineffective work practices. He has held management and continuous improvement leadership responsibilities at both the facility and corporate levels with three Fortune 500 companies.

An electrical engineer by education, Mike is an accomplished Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CMBB). He is well-known for his down-to-earth, easily-understood explanations of complex concepts. Mike is also a hands-on Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and licensed master electrician. He has been independently recognized as a sensei for his working knowledge of Lean and the Toyota Production System.

Mike is the author of over two dozen books. When not writing, or helping others, Mike and his beautiful wife Kay enjoy hanging out on the Gulf Shores (Gulf Coast) beaches with their two neurotic cats.
