Tamara Price

Tamara Price (known as Tammy to her friends and family) lives in the Boise, Idaho area with her husband and five children. She holds a bachelor's degree in Education from Boise State University and taught school before her children were born. Now she is thankful she is able to be home with them. Her biggest challenge has been complications with all five pregnancies, which required that she spend many months in bed–a little over a year of her life in all.

It was during this period of her life that she turned to her food storage and learned firsthand the importance of having it organized in a manner that even her eight-year-old could help with the cooking. Facing the staggering medical bills that come with having children born prematurely, she and her husband figured out ways to be in control of their finances so they could meet all the demands placed on them. Through these and other experiences, she has gained insights that she hopes will help others in their quest to be prepared. She has taught preparedness classes for many years and has finally compiled her knowledge into a book.
