Ian Ayris

Ian Ayris is the author of three novels, two novellas, numerous magazine articles and upwards of forty short stories.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund, a creative writing tutor, workshop leader and has a regular column in Writing Magazine - the best-selling writing magazine in the UK.

Ian reads obsessively, being similarly obsessed with - and having a lifelong passion for - the Mighty Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club.

Ian lives in Harold Hill, Essex, with his wife, Karen, his youngest daughter, Summer, a magical black cat called Astrid and a lovely, somewhat dopey, black labrador called Kobi.
