Dr Ahmad Nadeem Saleem is the author's full name. His pen names are Ahmad Nadeem, Nad Saleem, and Ahmad Saleem. To read the detailed biography, please see below. His other books are A Muslim Corrie (Nad Saleem), Extremist Politics and Culture (Ahmad Nadeem), Islamist Politics and Culture (2nd edition of Extremist Politics and Culture, being prepared), and Iman Abu Hanifa (In Urdu). The book Imam Abu Hanifa, Ibn al Muqqafa and Bashshar bin Burd is the second simplified edition of his previous book Believers, Unbelievers and Hypocrites (Ahmad Nadeem).
Dr Ahmad Nadeem has conducted empirical and theoretical research on extremism for over three decades. After his graduation in psychology, physics and mathematics, he did his masters in English literature from Punjab University (1985), MBA from Strathclyde University (1990), and PhD from Middlesex University (1998). He has been a British Council fellow (1989-90), and lecturer in Pakistan, Arabian Gulf, and London for twelve years. His analyses of extremism have been collected in his book "Islamist Politics and Culture, and the Western Role in its Resurgence." This book describes the poverty and violence generated by the expansionist familial culture and extremist politics, resurrected by petrodollars and the Cold War alliances, and discusses the importance of why and how Muslim states and the West must tame the Frankenstein monster they created against communism. This book was previously published under the title Extremist Politics and Culture.
His second book is a long historical play, "Believers, Unbelievers and Hypocrites" which illustrates the lives of non-conformers in the Islamic empire known as the Khilafa. The book challenges the widespread Islamic propaganda that the caliphs sponsored and encouraged genuine scholarship in their kingdoms. Based on historically recorded facts, the play describes the lives of seven brilliant philosophers and the way six of these were murdered because of their independent thinking and non-conformism to the prevalent systems of beliefs and the fascism they generated. The simplified second edition of this book is available under the title Imam Abu Hanifa, Ibn al Muqqafa and Bashshar bin Burd. The same book is available in the Urdu language under the title, Imam Abu Hanifa (Urdu).
His third book is a Novel: A Muslim Corrie, Based on Real Life Stories from Muslim Britain, published in June 2020.
