I have one wife, four children at home and one child who is an angel. I grew up in the working class town of Freeport, Illinois. I knew that the elite class would exploit me sooner or later - so I decided to stay free as long as possible with this book.
I wrote "God Thinks You're Stupid" over the course of about 20 years. It started as a collection of writings on various topics that I would veer into usually during a college lecture (I'm a lawyer with two advanced degrees and 3 undergrad majors)... As time passed I realized that most of my musings/writings would have common elements - those being the contemplation of life (what it all means - defining our place in the universe sort of thought) and how those questions would be addressed by various players in the universe - not the least of which include God and Eddie Van Halen. This is not an attack on religion, but rather a call for people to do unto others as they would have others do unto them - I recall reading that somewhere... I think that you will find this book entertaining, funny, sad, emotional, raw, & by my own admission a bit flighty (heuristic leaps here and there...). It is beyond all else an address to the generations that will follow - as the John Stuart Mill quote indicates, "If society lets any considerable number of its members grow up mere children, incapable of being acted on by rational consideration of distant motives, society has itself to blame for the consequences." I hope you enjoy my book - Bill Jacobs.
